Once again, I'm teaming up with Office Depot, who is challenging me each month to come up with creative ways to use their office products! Secretly, I LOVE this challenge -- and I've got some really GREAT ideas brewing in my mind all the time, but this month I decided to do something pretty practical, simple, cheap, and easy! Isn't that what you want? Of course it is!
I'm beginning to think we're trying to be the greenest family on the block! We've taken some steps to reuse and re-energize this home! We have solar panels, we have been using terry towels to cut down on paper towels, and now composting! Well, I wouldn't say we're the "greenest" but I like to try and re-use stuff cause I'm cheap and also cause it's senseless to always throw stuff out!
My assistant, Shannon, is sharing all about her move! She is a fabulously organized girl - which I LOVE and why she is my super-fantastic assistant! Anyway, I asked her to share all about her organizing with her move - well, at least half her move. They sold their house! Very exciting, but are still trying to find another house! The market is crazy - so she's being patient while they've moved out of one house and look to move into another. So, here she is sharing about how to organize your move: It is about that time of year when people begin to think about moving. I wanted to share with you several tips that helped me in my recent move to stay organized and stress-free!
Starting this month, I will be interviewing a professional organizer each month. I think this is really valuable that we talk with a professional and get their opinions and ideas on how they help others to organize. So, today I'm going to start with Aby Garvey, who also happens to run a blog and business that I've shared before, Simplify 101.
I told you on Wednesday all about getting organized to go away with your spouse for a week or weekend. Well, I'm going to share a little bit of my fun away -- in Chicago! Oh, Chicago was so great! I loved it there. It was a conference for my Hubby {John}, but it was a vacation for me. I needed it. I haven't had a break from blogging {aka, work} for a really long time. I DID work while I was there, but not half as much as I usually do and it was pretty minor work.
Today I'm going to share with you two different parenting opportunities. One really good and one even better - well, sometimes there are good things about parenting and sometimes bad!
My hubby and I just got back from a crazy long 8-days away from our kids last week to Chicago! I do this with him every year - although this was a little longer than usual. And every year it's a lot of work and prep to get things ready for being away from them for a week.
There are some talented readers that I have! Nina, of Everyday Enchanting, shared her organized pantry with me. And, I'm going to share this super-cute and organized pantry with you!
I wish you all knew my kids and could see how they have such wonderful personalities! But, that's not possible! The best idea you get is seeing the things we do around here with the kids' rooms. My daughter has this wonderful, sparkly personality. Her room was a joy to re-decorate this past January. It reflects a lot of her personality!
Because I know you all don't possibly keep with every little bit that goes on here in OMF land, I like to include a month end wrap up to help you catch up on anything you may have missed in the month of April - and every month, for that matter.
